As a part of our response to air pollution, UNDP Serbia, in cooperation with UNICEF and World Health Organization (WHO), launched the Clean Air Innovation Challenge to call proposals for innovative products and technological solutions to reduce air pollution in Serbia and improve air quality.
In addition to increasing national capacities to respond to similar challenges in the future, the Clean Air Innovation Challenge will stimulate local business development, innovation and entrepreneurship.
We invited legal entities and individuals to propose innovative ways of producing or procuring innovative products, technological solutions, and new value chains related to reducing air pollution and improving air quality monitoring in five categories: Individual heating/combustion units, air quality monitoring, air purification, reducing air pollution impact on children, and other equipment and/or processes.
In total, 55 organizations and individuals responded to our Challenge call and we have selected 14 of the most innovative proposals, based on their expected impact. They are the ones presented on this platform. The approximate total value of all these ideas is $1 million USD.
We are inviting you to partner with us in supporting the implementation of the best ideas, and jointly ensure a sustainable Clean Air response, recovery and resilience of air quality in the Republic of Serbia.
